The History
Initially formed as a metal band in spring of 2023, Buddies Of Our Broken Sound consisted of 3 members. Joe and Mateo played with their friend Enzo. New opportunities presented themselves and Enzo found his place with May They Rest. Be sure to check them out!

During the rebranding phase, Joe and Mateo reached out to friends and coworkers who would be interested in joining the band. They all agreed to be apart of the new BOOBS, a psychedelic rock band named Ballad Of Our Body & Soul!

Hey! I'm Joe, the lead vocalist and guitarist of Ballad Of Our Body & Soul. I have been playing guitar since 2016. My friend Ricky was playing at the middle school talent show and his performance struck me. I went home that night and searched my attic for a guitar and started to learn Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns N' Roses. After realizing this was an actual hobby of mine, my dad took me to a Music & Arts store to buy my first guitar. I got a Slash Epiphone Les Paul as my first guitar with a small practice amp.
After about 4 years of playing I was confident enough to join my first band, Admit One. We played many shows together and changed our name to Sweetheart before releasing 2 songs, Headspace and Sore Loser. Working with Sam, Julie, Alex, and Sebastian has made me grow as a musician and as a person. It was Julie who first put the thought in my head that I can sing. I would sing along to songs in her car assuming she couldn't hear, until she told me that I'm not a bad singer.
My top 3 guitarists are Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix (who I share a birthday with), and Dimebag Darrell. My favorite band is Pink Floyd. My favorite song is Tuesday's Gone by Lynnyrd Skynnyrd. Most importantly, I love boobs, and not just the band.

Hello you beautiful treasures, I'm Mateo Oloriz, otherwise known as Matty O Blackstone. I have been playing drums since I started taking lessons in 2016 with Matt Kane at the Matt Kane School of Drumming. Following that, I was a drummer at the New Jersey Youth Symphony, which enhanced Matt's teachings and my overall skill and push towards being a versatile jazz and multi-genre performer. During this I also excelled and learned much through being a percussionist in school.
Starting freshman year of high school, I became a member of the School of Rock in Clark, NJ, and soon became a Houseband member and toured in Nashville and Los Angeles. I was also a member of the band Altered Ego, which was formed with members of School of Rock (Celeste Popola, Adrian Hou, Julian Dutemple). Sweetheart played a show at Dingbatz with us, and this grew my relationship with Joe. We first met in gym class, then started having jam sessions. I have been a performer for various groups around the NJ/NY/CT area from all kinds of genres.
I am also working with the record label Redtail Records as a session musician. Currently attending The Hartt School, found in the University of Hartford to get a degree in Music Composition, I will continue to make ethereal sounds with Ballad Of Our Body & Soul, as well as my own works. Working with these lovely oddities truly brings the best in me, and I love boobs so much.​

Yo! I'm Robert, and I've been playing bass since December of 2023. it started when Joe was talking about his band needing a bassist, and at that point I decided "why not, I've always wanted to pick up an instrument". With Joe's help I picked up my first bass, a lime green beauty with lime green strings, and have fell in love with playing ever since. More specifically, I've fallen in love with the process, and seeing my improvement through every time I play.
Since I was a kid my mom would blast Led Zeppelin in the car, which started my love for the band and for music
in general. Since then, I've grown to love many other bands, such as Pink Floyd and Foo Fighters, and am always looking to expand my music tastes, which joining BOOBS has certainly helped with.​
Outside of music, acting and performing has always been one of my strongest passions. With BOOBS I hope to be able to merge the two, and perform some kick ass songs! I can't wait to see what the future holds for me and my bandmates!​​

I'm Dan I play guitar for the band. I started playing in the winter of 2022 to pick up a fun new hobby. I wanted to learn so I could learn to play songs I like listening to which was mostly country at the time. I originally started playing on an old classical guitar I found in my Grandmothers garage that belonged to my great uncle. It was beat up and cracked but I was thankful to be able to use it to practice. I found out later that I had actually put the wrong strings on it which made it much harder to play. On that guitar I learned my first two songs "Using again" by Benjamin Todd and "Lungs" by Townes Van Zandt. I still have that guitar in my room but since then have bought others. Now I mainly play the electric guitar and developed a crippling guitar pedal addiction.
I really enjoy folk and country music but recently I've gotten more into rock and blues. My favorite bands are Nirvana, Weezer and Radiohead. My favorite guitar player is John Mayer who wrote one of my favorite songs "Slow dancing in a burning room"(I'm still trying to learn it).​ Recently my focus has been on learning more about writing music and lyrics. I enjoy learning and practicing new techniques to use in writing and in shows. I look forward to the future of Ballad Of Our Body & Soul!​

What's up! I'm Mark, and I smack a keyboard for this awesome band. I've always loved the idea of playing/creating music, and in June of 2024, I asked Joe to help me get into it. I went straight to him because he was the most musical person I knew. Without any hesitation, Joe asked which instrument I wanted to learn, and long story short, I got a keyboard along with an invitation to join Ballad Of Our Body & Soul.
Despite never learning an instrument before, listening to music will always be a hobby of mine. My 3 favorite bands as of now are Rammstein, Pink Floyd, and Giant Rooks. Even though these styles of music are very different from each other, I still enjoy listening to each of these artists daily. As well as rock, I indulge in the likes of EDM and jazz. I always encourage my friends to expand their music tastes, so they can fully embrace the beauty of music.
Even though I have only recently gotten into playing an instrument, other hobbies have kept me busy. Sports have always been a part of my life, pursuing soccer and volleyball competitively since elementary and middle school respectively. The competitive aspects of both sports ultimately came to an end when I graduated high school in 2023. I am now spending my time furthering my education, studying to become a mechanical engineer, as well as being a part of a beautiful project named BOOBS.
